– Moving beer range to cans from bottles
The new rebranded range of Six°North cans will launch this Thursday 29th April at independent bottle shops around the UK. This launch will see our brewery move the majority of our beers from 330ml bottles to 330ml + 440ml cans in a shift that has been long in the making. We will have a core range of beers available all year round, plus many collaborations and seasonal releases.
WHY CANS?
It’s no secret that cans are now what the beer market demands, almost exclusively so. It also turns out that our old bottles were very heavy when compared to our new cans. For context, one case of 12x330ml cans is approximately 2.5kg lighter than its bottle predecessor. This will have a hugely positive impact on our efficiency and carbon footprint as we move forward.
A NEW LICK OF PAINT
The rebrand concept and artwork have been mindfully created by our in-house design team to reflect our ‘New World x Old World’ approach to brewing. We’ve drawn inspiration from various subject matter including the Bauhaus movement to create a family of striking and modern beers. We hope our rebranded cans will help introduce Six°North to a new wave of beer drinkers whilst also appealing to our existing loyal customer base.
WHY REBRAND?
We felt that a rebrand was necessary in order to better represent where we are as a brewery right now. The direction and focus of our brand has evolved in recent years and we believe our new branding is a reflection of this. We started brewing beers in our hometown of Stonehaven eight years ago. We now look onward to the years ahead, more excited and driven than ever. We will continue to embrace new ideas, with a respect for everything that has gone before
STOCKISTS
Six°North cans will be stocked at independent bottle shops across the UK from Thursday 29th April. A full list of stockists can be found here. All of our new cans will be available to buy directly from the Six°North online store from 6th May. Some 330ml cans from our core range will be stocked at selected Sainsbury’s & Morrisons stores across Scotland from 12th May. These are: Omnium Session IPA, Wanderlust Wheat, Hopclassic Belgian IPA & Framboise Raspberry Beer (Sainsbury’s only).
