Leased and tenanted pub company, Spirit Leased Pubs has further demonstrated working with its licensees by investing over £260,000 into the Ship pub at Redmarshall, Stockton on Tees.

The pub’s interior has been totally revamped to modernise the site whilst retaining its traditional character and better reflect the pub’s naval theme.

Particularly exciting is the Ship’s new ‘Cadets’ kids’ menu, which the pub teamed up with local primary school William Cassidi to create. After a competition for pupils to design the menu, the winning entry, a creation by young William Baines, now proudly sits in the pub as the official ‘Cadets’ menu.

“The investment at the Ship at Redmarshall has had tremendous results,” said Martin McTigue, Spirit Leased Pubs business development manager and responsible for the Ship’s investment. “The new food menu provides exceptional quality, while at the same time offers great value.”

“We’re delighted to be involved in investments such as that at the Ship,” added Spirit Leased Pubs managing director Chris Welham. “The end product is a pub that I’m sure the people of Redmarshall are incredibly proud of.”
