Suffolk brewery, St Peter’s, has pledged its support to the annual Knutsford Beer Festival, by offering a free keg of beer to help its money-raising efforts.
The Knutsford Beer Festival, which is now in its 4th year, offers visitors a chance to try a range of beers and wines from across the UK.
This year, as part of its commitment to charity events, St Peter’s will be donating a 30-litre keg of its St Peter’s Without® Original for the event, which runs from 19th to 21st April, with all money raised going to local charities and good causes.
“The organisers of the festival approached us as they were looking for a high quality, alcohol-free beer to offer to people who might be designated driver for the day, or who simply don’t drink alcohol. They also wanted to dispel the stigma attached to alcohol-free beer and offer something that matches up to the taste and quality of the other beers at the event,” explains Steve Magnall, CEO at St Peter’s Brewery. “We were only too pleased to help and, as it’s a charity event, we will be supplying a 30-litre keg of St Peter’s Without® Original for free.”
“I’m really excited to be able to offer our visitors some alcohol free beer at the festival and to show people how good it can be. I find it bizarre that everywhere I go in Europe there are always alcohol free options available, but it’s not just the same here. We’d like to put the record straight and will look forward to having some decent zero alcohol beer to sell,” says Andrew Mallor, Chairman of the festival.
“This is a great opportunity for us to prove how good Without® Original is and we look forward to hearing feedback from customers at the event,” adds Steve.
St Peter’s Brewery is based in Bungay in Suffolk and produces three delicious zero alcohol beers: St Peter’s Without® Original, Without® Gold and Without® Organic.
