Stay In A Pub has teamed up with the Guild of Travel Writers to promote pubs as places to stay. Paul Nunny Founder of Stay in a Pub commented “Wouldn’t it be great if every article on travel in the UK press had a pub as suggested overnight accommodation”.
The Guild of Travel Writers was set up in 1960 and is a community of accredited writers, photographers and broadcasters, a trusted body for independent editorial comment and expert content on travel. They are a private limited company and limited by guarantee. They are not dissimilar in structure and membership to the British Guild of Beer Writers.
The Stay In A Pub website, with over 1,700 pubs where you can book accommodation on line, will hopefully be a reference point for all travel journalists. With the British pub being one of the Top 3 places to visit listed by inbound tourists they have every reason to promote the British pub.
