Supreme Champion Woodforde’s Beer Now Available Through OCADO.COM, the UK’s Fastest Growing Retailer

A multi-award-winning range of beers from renowned brewers Woodforde’s, is now available through Ocado.com – the world’s largest dedicated online supermarket.

Four of Woodforde’s core ale range – including Supreme Champion Beer of Britain, Wherry, and international-award-winning Volt IPA – can be purchased online in 500ml bottles.

The two fan favourites are joined by Nelson’s Revenge and Bure Gold, with Wherry also available in a 4x440ml can multipack.

It comes as the Norfolk-based brand’s reputation continues to grow on the national stage, stocking its beers across the country. This comes alongside their accelerated growth plans which have helped to increase their nationwide reach, providing beer lovers across the UK access to a pint of Woodforde’s.

Ryan Crisp, Head of Off-Trade and Export at Woodforde’s, said: “It is great to now sell our award-winning beers through Ocado.com.

“As the UK’s fastest growing grocer, selling through Ocado significantly widens our reach and will help more beer lovers across the country get their hands on a glass of Woodforde’s finest.

“This is a hugely exciting time for our brewery and we are thrilled to have the quality and popularity of our products recognised by such a prestigious retailer.”

All Woodforde’s beers are brewed using water from an ancient aquifer underneath its brewery in the heart of the Norfolk Broads.

Its Head Brewer, Aaron Taubman, is a decorated master in his trade and is keen to highlight the quality of British ingredients alongside the bold and rich flavours available through different hop and malt varieties.

Wherry, a 3.8% Amber Ale, is nationally revered for its mighty and zesty flavours, with 4.5% Volt American IPA packing a citrussy punch in every sip.

Nelson’s Revenge, a 4.5% Bitter, pays tribute to Norfolk’s greatest son in Horatio Lord Nelson, while Bure Gold is a global celebration of different hop varieties in the form of a 4.3% Golden Ale.

Ocado.com boasts more than a million active customers and is the world’s largest dedicated online supermarket.

Rich Bunting, Beer Buyer at Ocado Retail, said: “We are pleased to introduce Woodforde’s and its core range to Ocado.com and to make beers from this brilliant Norfolk brewery accessible to ale-lovers across the country. It’s always exciting to add another British brewery to our range and we’re confident it will prove popular with our customers.”

About Woodforde’s

Woodforde’s is Norfolk’s largest brewery and is renowned nationwide for its core ales, including Wherry which has twice been crowned Supreme Champion Beer of Britain by CAMRA.

The brewery is based in Woodbastwick, in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, and uses water from an ancient aquifer under its brewery building to create its beers.

Woodforde’s is named in honour of 18th century clergyman Parson James Woodforde, who wrote about his love for good food and beer.

Founded in 1981, Woodforde’s now operates two pubs, The Fur and Feather and the Lord Nelson, both located in Norfolk.

Aside from its core range of ales, Woodforde’s also offers monthly seasonals, lagers, IPAs, ciders and its New World Brewing range – created in recognition of new American head brewer Aaron Taubman.
