Take A Look Inside New Glasgow Pub Following £340,000 Refurbishment

The Brockburn, formerly The Pollok, on Brockburn Road in Glasgow re-opened last Friday 23rd February following a major investment of £340,000.

The pub is part of the Proper Pubs division at Admiral Taverns and has undergone a complete internal and external transformation to give the Brockburn a new look and fresh décor, to appeal to all the local community.

Inside, the pub has been completely redecorated with an updated bar and lounge area to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Outside, the pub has been given a vibrant and modern look, including brand new lighting and signage, to welcome customers. In addition, impressive new bi-fold doors have been installed to allow for easy access to the outdoor space.

For opening night, customers got to enjoy a live music performance from Michelle, a fantastic local artist. Entertainment continued throughout the weekend to celebrate the reopening with a live set from local band, Dizzy Corner.

Operator of the Brockburn, Margaret Drennan, said: “Opening night was fantastic! It was amazing to welcome all our customers, old and new, back into the pub to check out its fresh new look and see what it has to offer.

The feedback we’ve received from the community so far has been amazing, and we can’t wait to see them again soon!”

The Brockburn hosts a wide range of drinks offers as well as TNT, Sky Sports and horse racing channels for customers to enjoy. Moving forward, Margaret looks forward to introducing a regular schedule of entertainment including quiz nights, DJ sets and live music and will work hard to support several community initiatives.

Matthew Gurney, Operations Director for Proper Pubs, said: “The refurbishment at the Brockburn looks fantastic and I’m delighted that the opening night was such a success! This stands testament to the team’s hard work who have done everything to make sure the pub will sit at the heart of the community.

On behalf of the Proper Pubs team, we would like to wish Margaret every success for the future in making the Brockburn a vital community hub.”
