Specialist Craft Beer pub operator, The Craft Beer Co, is changing it’s name this November and brewing a beer to raise awareness for prostate cancer charity – Movember.
Typically, Movember challenges men to grow a moustache for the 30-days of November, thereby changing their appearance and the face of men’s health, but the team at The Craft Beer Co are taking it a step further, MD, Martin Hayes said: “Whilst there’s a serious message at the heart of the Movember movement it allows us to raise vital funds whilst having a smile (and ‘mo’) on our face. The Craft Beer movement already sports some super facial hair, so we’re hoping to encourage some pretty special Mo’s. Alongside the facial hair, we’ll be brewing a one-off beer with the Harbour Brewing Co – this beer will be given away to those who come into our pubs and show-off their growth – I’m guessing they’ll be few people presented with a free beer who will wonder what is going on, which should be pretty amusing. We’ll also be taking it a step further and The Craft Beer Co, will become The Craft Beer ‘Mo’ for the month of November, with new signs hung at each site.”
The beer will be brewed at the Harbour Brewing Co, with malt donated by Simpsons and hops from Charles Faram and will be available throughout November to tash-wearing gents at all four Craft Beer Co, sorry Craft Beer Mo sites in November, sorry, Movember, in London’s Islington, Clerkenwell, Brixton, as well as in Brighton.
