‘Faces of Brewing 2012: Brewing and my community’, running from August
to 31 October 2012, offers talented amateur photographers across Europe
the opportunity to showcase their best images and the stories behind
those images. The competition aims to shine a light on the people in
the brewing sector and the surrounding local community, highlighting
the role that brewing plays in Europe today.

Images that feature individuals related to the brewing sector in the
local community, such as pub owners, brewers, bar staff, consumers and
even suppliers can be submitted to the competition. A panel of jurors,
including renowned international photographers, will select the three
best images. Visitors can also use the website to vote for their
favourite pictures and join the Faces of Brewing communities on
Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. Website managers can use the free online
local community, such as pub owners, brewers, bar staff, consumers and

The winners will be awarded prizes for over €1750 in camera equipment.
Their names, together with the winning images, will be publicised on
the website and the first place winner will be invited to a gala event
in Brussels hosted by the Brewers of Europe. Special prizes will be
also awarded to the most active social media users and the picture
with the most votes on the website.
