Nothing added; nothing taken away
XPA can now be enjoyed across all formats – can, cask and keg – by beer lovers looking for a gluten free option. After comprehensive testing, the production team at The Five Points Brewery Co. were thrilled to discover that XPA was already well below the threshold required for gluten free status, without any alterations to the beer’s original recipe.
The team is delighted that even more beer fans will get to enjoy one of the company’s best-loved beers. Greg Hobbs, Director of Brewing at The Five Points Brewing Co., said:
“I am thrilled that our award-winning XPA is now even more accessible to beer drinkers everywhere. It has long been an ambition to add a gluten free option to our range and to achieve that with our already much-loved XPA is extremely exciting.”
Hoppy, light and tropical
XPA is a light and tropical extra pale ale. The combination of American and Australian hops used in its recipe offer citrusy notes of peach, mango, and pineapple, which are balanced by a thirst-quenching bitterness. At 4.0% ABV, it’s a seriously sippable pale ale.
Beginning its life as a special edition collaboration beer for Field Day festival in 2016, XPA proved to be a hit long after festival season. The beer then joined Five Points’ core range and fast became a favourite among beer drinkers, who are now able to enjoy their next pint of XPA with gluten free peace of mind.
