Wednesday 12 February 2025, 12pm – 4pm
Terrace Pavilion, House of Commons
The highly anticipated ‘Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase’ (HAS) is back for another year on Wednesday 12 February 2025, coinciding with National Apprenticeship Week (10-16 February).
Taking place at the iconic Terrace Pavilion in the House of Commons from 12pm-4pm, the event will once again bring together leading companies from across the hospitality industry to celebrate and highlight the vital role apprentices play in shaping the future of the sector.
This year’s event promises to be a fantastic day, full of inspiration and recognition, featuring top hospitality industry names such as Greene King, Nando’s, Fullers, AB InBev, Mitchells & Butlers, Marston’s, Stonegate Group, UKHospitality, Umbrella Training, the BBPA and HIT Training. Together, these companies will showcase the variety of roles available within the sector and highlight the importance of ongoing support for hospitality apprenticeships across the UK.
Jill Whittaker OBE, Managing Director of HIT Training, an active supporter of the Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase, shared her thoughts ahead of the 2025 event:
“It’s wonderful to be part of yet another Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase. Apprenticeships continue to be an exceptional pathway for learning, providing hands-on experience in an industry that is both dynamic and rewarding. Following Keir Starmer’s Labour Party conference speech, it looks like some of the flexibilities that we have been campaigning for – shorter apprenticeships for people with some hospitality experience and foundation apprenticeships to help people have an accelerated start to their career in hospitality – may be on their way. As always, I’m looking forward to meeting this year’s apprentices, and hearing their inspirational stories in this exceptional venue.”
Now in its ninth year, the Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase has celebrated the talents of over 2,000 apprentices, offering them a unique opportunity to meet with MPs, industry leaders, and peers. The event has helped to raise awareness of the wealth of career opportunities in hospitality and the impact apprenticeships have on both businesses and the broader economy.
Attendees will have the chance to immerse themselves in the diverse world of hospitality, from meeting skilled chefs and mixologists to learning about the intricate work of professional brewers and support staff apprentices. It is an inclusive and vibrant celebration that showcases the breadth of talent, and limitless opportunities across the industry.
Maureen Heffernan, Director of Leisure PR and organiser of the event, said:
“This event consistently highlights the potential that apprenticeships unlock. Hearing from apprentices who’ve transformed their career paths through these programmes is truly inspiring, and I’m proud to continue showcasing their achievements.”
