The Richmond Club opens today

The Richmond Club, Richmond’s first private members club, has opened today. Located on the former site of The Hope pub, the venue has undergone a stunning transformation, following a six-figure investment.

This new addition to Richmond’s hospitality scene has been created by Maureen Heffernan. A Richmond-local for 20-years, Maureen has transformed the building into a stunning oasis in which to escape from the confines from working from home; meet with family or bubble comrades or network with new business colleagues.  Applications are still open for membership which includes a daytime only option (10am-6pm); full; couple and corporate options as well as a discount for the under 27’s.

Designed by the award-winning company Edwards McCoy, internationally acclaimed designer Sally Anne McCoy, has transformed the building with quirky nuances and unique style, whilst enhancing and preserving its historic character. Luxurious and decadent, the rich oxblood booth seating, chic sofas and crystal lighting is balanced by moody green walls bedecked with interesting art.  To the first floor, the adaptable space will accommodate daytime creatives, diners, as well as being available for private hire. This masterpiece of interior design continues with the show-stopping ladies toilets. McCoy’s designs are famous across the capital and beyond, boasting accolades such as Vogue’s most Instagram-able bathroom for her contribution to Restaurant Ours, transforming the space with floor to ceiling palm trees and baby pink tiles. Th Richmond Club holds its own loo secrets especially for the ladies.

The heated outside area provides a patio festooned with lights and plants, perfect to sip cocktails or indulge in a classic cocktail, whisky or fine wine.

The menu is to die for, created by Head Chef Dan the dishes celebrate the very best of classics with a twist, offering an array of small plates that will leave you wanting to tick off the whole list. Lunch and dinner will be served daily with bountiful brunches available at the weekend.

The venue is also the first in Richmond to install Clenzair the ground-breaking, virus killing, air purification system that makes being inside as safe as being outside.  The system neutralises 99% of viruses and bacteria in the air and on all surfaces, creating a continuously, safe and sanitised environment 24/7. No harmful chemicals are used as the process produces hydroperoxides – otherwise known as Mother Nature’s enviro-friendly cleaning agent, that makes the air smell as fresh and as clean as after a thunderstorm.

Business owner, Maureen Heffernan, said: “We are incredibly excited to open the doors and welcome the first members to The Richmond Club. At a time when hospitality is facing huge challenges it is refreshing to bring something different that enables business to continue away from home without the commute.

“We are delighted to have a few ‘firsts’ too, including Richmond’s first private members club, the first venue is the area to pour ABK Hell and Weissbier on draught as well as the first venue in the area to install the game-changing Clenzair system.”

The Richmond Club is open from 10am – 11pm, under current Government restrictions until licensing hours can be permitted.

Various membership options are available, including a limited number of day passes; daytime membership (10am-6pm); full annual; couples and corporate membership.  For more information and to apply for membership, please visit www.therichmondclub.uk
