Thornbridge take top Awards in national beer competition

Thornbridge has taken two top Awards in the 2012 Craft Beer in Keg Competition held by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA).

Thornbridge’s Chiron was judged Gold Medal winner in the Champion Premium Bitters, Pale and Golden Ales category whilst their Jaipur IPA won Gold in the Champion Strong Bitters and IPAs. In addition Versa, Thornbridge’s Weisse beer, was voted Silver medal winner in the   Champion Speciality Beers.

All category Gold Medal winners  will be judged for the National Champion Keg Ale to be announced at the SIBA Annual Conference in March.

Simon Webster, Thornbridge’s Director says, “We are very proud of our beers and delighted to win these Awards.  Craft Beer in Keg is growing in popularity  and this was reflected in the quality of the competition with an increasing number of brewers around the country now brewing quality ales, stouts and lagers in keg.

Webster added,  The awards are testament to the skill and passion of our brewing team who are now producing an unparalleled range of diverse, quality  beers in cask, keg and bottle.
