2020 has undoubtedly been an incredibly tempestuous year for the food, drink and hospitality industries. Thornbridge, however, are not to be deterred in their plight to bring innovative and beautifully balanced beer to the people. Thornbridge have been working away with legendary ramen restaurant Tonkotsu over the past few months to create something very exciting.
The teams at Thornbridge and Tonkotsu have been working closely together over the past few months to bring their collaboration beer to life. They are thrilled to introduce Mikan Shimoda, a brand-new pale ale brewed to perfectly complement Tonkotsu ramen.
Both brands endeavour to create incredible and beautifully balanced produce. Thornbridge strive to create beer which innovates and delights in equal measure while Tonkotsu puts heart and soul into every bowl of wonder that leaves their kitchens.
The collaboration, named Mikan Shimoda, after the type of mandarin which inspired the beer, is a 3.8% pale ale, beautifully light and fresh with a tantalizing sweet orange aroma. On the palate expect a crisp, citrusy character that will complement your favourite ramen perfectly.
