Independent craft beer mavericks Tiny Rebel is dialling up the chaos with the launch of two bold new IPAs to celebrate the release of Sony Pictures’ 28 Years Later in cinemas on 19th June, the highly anticipated follow-up to the iconic 2002 film 28 Days Later.
Launching on 22nd May, exactly 28 days before the film hits the big screen, ‘2’ is a blood orange liqueur-infused IPA with an infectiously juicy bite, and ‘8’ is a tropical pineapple IPA that’s as bold as it is refreshing. Both beers are inspired by the ferocious energy and apocalyptic vibes of the new 28 Years Later film, bringing fans a taste experience as intense as the film itself.
The special creations also come with their own unique twist worthy of any chart-topping film. These IPAs aren’t just made to be enjoyed on their own, pour them both over ice in a pint glass, add a spirit of your choice, and you’ve got the makings of your very own dangerously delicious Singapore Sling-style drink.
The beers will also launch exclusively online at www.tinyrebel.co.uk from 22nd May, exactly 28 days before the film hits the big screen. For every can bought, you’ll be in with the chance of winning your very own chance at survival – a three-night stay in the Lake District, the filming location of the film, complete with a wilderness survival experience, as well as merch bundles and cinema tickets.
“This is more than beer; it’s a celebration of a genre-defining moment in film. ‘2’ and ‘8’ are brewed to be as bold, unexpected, and unforgettable as the movie itself, and are just as good enjoyed separately as they are together – creating for our fans their own rite of passage as they watch the protagonists embark on their very own journey.
“We’re all about great times and great beer, so celebrating this epic film with equally as epic IPAs was a no-brainer.” said Tiny Rebel co-founder Brad Cummings.
“We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Tiny Rebel on the cinematic event of the year. Their bespoke brews for 28 Years Later are a brilliant twist on the unexpected, and the perfect way to bring the film to life beyond the cinema.” said Peter Staines, Director of Partnerships & Promotions, Sony Pictures Releasing.

About 28 Years Later
Academy Award®-winning director Danny Boyle and Academy Award®-nominated writer Alex Garland reunite for 28 Years Later, a terrifying new “auteur horror” story set in the world created by 28 Days Later. It’s been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well.
Directed by Danny Boyle. Written by Alex Garland. Produced by Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, Bernard Bellew, Danny Boyle and Alex Garland. Serving as executive producer is Cillian Murphy. The film stars Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams and Ralph Fiennes.
