Toast Ale Takeover at The Other Palace

To celebrate the start of upcoming show Nigel Slater’s Toast, a new play based on his autobiography, The Other Palace, Victoria’s favourite neighbourhood theatre, will be launching monthly brewery takeovers in their ground floor bar area with Toast Ale, held on Thursday 11th April, 9th May, 13th June, 11th July

Pairing up with the award-winning brewers, who produce craft beer made from surplus fresh bakery bread, the monthly bar takeovers will comprise of a full range of the excellent ToastAle beers in a creative setting.

Did you know 44% of the bread produced in the UK is never consumed? We waste almost 900,000 tonnes of bread every year – around 24 million slices every day. On the night, a representative from the brewery will be telling facts like these and more, giving a little talk on the brewing process and how they are working to combat food waste in the UK.

The four beers available on the night will be:

–       Toast Purebread Pale Ale 5%

–       Toast Bloomin’ Lovely Session IPA 4.5%

–       Toast Much Kneaded Craft Lager 5%

–       Toast Born and Bred American Pale Ale 5%

Guests can choose to grab a quick brew ahead of show times (and in the interval!) or settle in for the evening, trying the four Toast beers and enjoying the bar area. It’s an opportunity to do your bit to battle food waste!

The Other Palace’s Toast Ale takeovers will continue throughout April, May, June and July, taking place on the second Thursday of the month. Free entry on the night. For more information see:
