Top tenanted pubcos join forces to help prospective publicans call time on their old jobs

Pub Summit

For many a new year signals the start of a new adventure. PUB15, a trade show dedicated to the UK pub industry, taking place at Olympia on 18th and 19th February 2015, aims to help hundreds of prospective publicans turn their dreams of running a pub into reality, with the launch of its dedicated Careers Lounge.

Featuring representatives from three of the UK’s top pubcos, who between them own in excess of 10,000 freehold, tenanted or leased properties, PUB15’s Careers Lounge will offer insight, information and straight-talking advice on what it takes to be your own boss within the country’s flourishing pub sector.

Teams from Enterprise Inns, Punch Taverns and Greene King will be on hand to guide visitors to the show through the ins and outs of becoming a landlord, the different routes of pub acquisition available to them, back bar and head office support, along with business, marketing and investment advice to help them operate a prosperous and profitable pub business.

With an estimated £400 million set to be invested in the pub industry over the next 12 months, there has never been a more exciting time to join this dynamic sector which offers thousands the potential to be their own boss and take control of their careers. Backed by the BII (British Institute of Innkeeping), ALMR (Association of Licenced Multiple Retailers) and the BBPA (British Beer and Pub Association) and also featuring advice from HIT Training, PUB15 aims to equip individuals with the know-how to make that calculated leap into becoming a landlord.

Commenting on the Careers Lounge and the importance of bringing new talent into the UK’s pub industry, Luke Perry, Event Director at PUB15 says:

“The UK pub sector offers a viable and exciting opportunity for many to become their own boss through the provision of managed, freehold and tenanted properties. The Careers Lounge at PUB15 is geared towards those looking to make inroads into this fast paced and rewarding industry, giving them the chance to hear first-hand from some of our leading pubcos as well as the sector’s movers and shakers.”
