Independent Masham-based brewery, T&R Theakston has announced a ten-year extension to the brewery’s long-standing sponsorship deal with highly acclaimed jazz and blues club, Ripley Live.
Based at the former ‘Hotel de Ville’, Town Hall in Ripley North Yorkshire, the club was established at the turn of the century and Theakston’s long-term funding will help the club secure the purchase of its premises, ensuring a permanent home for its future.
Ripley Live regularly hosts bands and artists including both well-established and famous musicians to new up-and-coming acts, and has a growing and enthusiastic following extending throughout the Harrogate district and beyond.
Andy Herrington, Chairman of Ripley Live said,” We are delighted and most grateful to Theakston’s for helping us achieve this once in a lifetime opportunity to secure for Ripley Live, our own permanent home. We have a long and close association with the company who have been steadfast in their support for us for over twenty years. Without their help this would not have been possible.”
Simon Theakston, Chairman of T&R Theakston said, “We have enjoyed many years of association with Ripley Live, an organisation superbly run and supported. It is a real delight for us, through our extended sponsorship, to help secure for them a permanent home for their long-term future, as we ourselves look towards our 200th anniversary in 2027. The fact that the club’s patrons are enthusiastic fans of our beers and brands is an added factor in our decision making as we all know there is nothing better that listening to some fabulous jazz and blues over a pint of the finest ale!”
