Trinity New Polish Menu

A Bath pub famous for its wide range of Polish beer and vodkas – including the world’s hottest Chilli vodka – has now added special Polish dishes to its food menu.

The recently refurbished Trinity Inn on James Street West in Bath – an Abbey Ales hostelry – is managed along with partner Edwina Dudley Warde by Tycjan Zaleski who hails from Poland and the pub is very popular not just with locals and tourists but also with Bath’s Polish community. So alongside traditional British pub food classics such as fish and chips and Bath’s famous Lovett pies, you can now try Schabowy (schnitzel) pork cutlet coated in breadcrumbs, cooked the traditional Polish way and served with mash potatoes. Other delicacies include Golonka (knuckle), a very traditional dish served with Polish bread and mustard, Pierogi (Polish style dumplings) and Kotley Mielone, Polish meatballs in a traditional thick gravy sauce and warm beetroot salad.
Manager Tycjan Zaleski said, “It seemed a natural progression for us we serve a lot of Polish drinks and we had numerous requests for authentic Polish food so we thought we would take up the challenge. We still offer our Pub Classics menu and Sunday roasts but this is something different, and probably unique to Bath.”
Abbey Ales Is Baths only brewery based at Camden Row in the City Centre. The firm’s first pint was produced in October 1997 and since then the brewery has been awarded many prizes for its flagship best bitter 4.2% abv Bellringer.
Over the years the Abbey also added a range of guest and seasonal beers, such as Black Friar, Bath Star, Chorister and this Easter produced its popular seasonal 4.6% abv Resurrection plus a new beer brewed to a lower abv of 3.8% named Somerset Ale.
Managing Director Alan Morgan said: “When we started we made the decision to just supply to fifteen mile radius of Bath Abbey and this we feel has been one of the secrets of our success, we are known affectionately as the Beer of Bath. Everyone we talk to seems amazed that it has been sixteen years and repeatedly tell us how quickly it’s gone. We serve all the top real ale pubs in Bath and many of our customers have been with us since day one.”
The brewery operates 3 other Abbey pubs alongside the Trinity all in the city centre The Star Inn, The Coeur De Lion and The Assembly Inn.
