Alcohol-free only brewer, Big Drop, is launching a new 8-pack variety box to coincide with the expected surge in demand for alcohol-free beers in January.
The Big Hello pack contains Big Drop’s most popular 0.5% ABV beers – Paradiso Citra IPA, Pine Trail Pale Ale, Galactic Milk Stout and Uptime Craft Lager, two of each in 330ml cans. They offer the perfect alternative for craft beer lovers wanting to cut back on the alcohol, but not on flavour.
The four signature beers have won over 70 international beer awards Between them, including 6 times ‘World’s Best’ at the World Beer Awards and beating full-strength rivals in blind-tastings. Paradiso Citra IPA, for example, was the UK winner of the 2020 World Beer Award for Speciality IPA in which 6% ABV beers came in second and third place.
Rob Fink, Co-Founder and CEO of Big Drop, commented: “With up to 10 million people expected to do Dry January this time round, we’re about to see an awful lot of interest in the alcohol-free options out there. This is the time to shine for those with good visibility and a quality product that doesn’t compromise on taste.”
Big Drop is available in around 2,000 venues in the UK and on shelves in Waitrose, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s – or online with Ocado, Amazon and specialist retailers. Meanwhile its Big Hello Box is available exclusively from its own online shop, priced £14, from Monday 3rd January 2022 – https://shop.bigdropbrew.com/.
Paradiso IPA: This IPA radiates citrus fruit from the moment you pour it to the second you finish that last sip with a satisfied sigh. The bright, sharp twist of bitterness on the end makes you want to dive back in for one more.
Galactic Milk Stout: Made with barley, oats, rye and cocoa nibs this is described as rich, unctuous and an absolutely decadent treat of a beer. It was Big Drop’s first brew when the company launched in 2016 and, according to the 2021 World Beer Awards, is still the World’s Best No & Low Beer.
Pine Trail Pale Ale: This American Pale Ale style beer is a delight for the senses, delivering on all levels. Rosy floral aromas are immediate as you pour, with a light and limey citrus bite on the palate and a balanced but obvious bitterness to finish. It’s the only alcohol-free beer to have twice won World’s Best at the World Beer Awards (2017 & 2020).
Uptime Craft Lager: Easy drinking, full-flavoured but elegant, this Amber Lager has light herbal and floral hop aromas, a hint of caramel with peppered spiciness on the palate, and a touch of orange at the end. This beer has won a double-gold medal at the European Beer Challenge.

About Big Drop: Big Drop was launched in 2016 as the world’s first brewer dedicated to alcohol-free beer by City lawyer, Rob Fink and long-time friend James Kindred. Both had recently become fathers and were looking to cut back on the booze but could not find any decent alternatives to their favourite craft beers. Big Drop contract brews in batches through a network of brewing partners worldwide, meaning it can produce fresh beer – locally and ethically – with a minimal carbon footprint. Recognised as the market leader in the rapidly growing AF craft beer sector, Big Drop can now be found in over 10,000 locations – including throughout Europe, Australia, Canada and the US. In the UK, Big Drop has listings with major pub groups (eg Mitchells & Butlers) and retailers (eg Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Morrisons and Ocado) as well as on doorsteps with Milk & More. Its range of beers, which are all <0.5% abv, currently consists of: Stout, Lager, Pale Ale, IPA, Brown Ale, Golden Ale, Hazelnut Porter and a Sour as well as special editions and collaborations with other leading brewers.
