Harviestoun Brewery is pleased to announce the appointment of Toby Knowles as Director of UK Sales and Ewan McCowen as International Marketing Manager. The appointments coincide with an increase in brewing capacity as well as office and warehousing space being doubled.
Toby brings a wealth of experience to Harviestoun having spent the last 15 years representing some of the world’s most respected drinks brands; at Allied Domecq his portfolio included Laphroaig, Beefeater and Courvoisier, in addition he has worked on Veuve Clicquot, Krug and Lanson Champagnes. Although recognising beer as a departure, he states; “I recognise the same level of craftsmanship, dedication and passion going into Harviestoun’s beers that I have previously experienced working with the world’s top wines. Craft beer’s meteoric rise and continued growth make this the perfect time to work with an internationally acclaimed brewery that has been one of the leaders in innovation and quality for nearly 30 years.”
Ewan comes from a traditional brand and marketing background but for the past five years has specialised in internet marketing and social media. He observes; “I’m thrilled to be on board. I remember the first time I tried Bitter & Twisted 10 years ago and have been an avid fan of Harviestoun beers ever since. It’s brilliant to be communicating with like-minded enthusiasts and I am particularly excited by the prospect of growing our fanbase over the coming months and years. With the craft beer and digital revolutions in full swing, it’s hard to imagine a more exciting business to be part of right now.”
