Unique Alien: Romulus Inspired Beer Lands In UK

There’s Something In The Water in Berkshire as independent brewery Siren Craft Brew has revealed its biggest collaborative project to-date, a sci-fi red berry sour beer inspired by 20th Century Studios Alien: Romulus which is in cinemas August 16.

The beer is strictly limited edition and is available immediately, featuring poster artwork supporting the movie and with cans individually numbered. It’s described as a zingy sour beer, brewed with cherries and red berries for delicious, refreshing fruitiness and tangy sweet and sour flavours.

Darron Anley, Siren Craft Brew Founder, said:

Alien is my favourite film franchise of all time- I’ve even named all of my dogs after characters from the movies – so being able to work on this beer in collaboration with the latest release is a real honour. I love how Fede Alvarez has approached Alien: Romulus with a love for the franchise, respect for the canon and a hands-on, DIY process to the film making. Not only does this resonate with Siren in ethos, the bright red, acidic beer works perfectly with the themes of the film.”

Andy Nowlan, Siren Craft Brew Head of Marketing, added:

“Siren is known for adventurous beers and collaborations, but this one is particularly special. Being trusted to celebrate an iconic franchise is amazing for a small, independent brewery like ours. We can’t wait for everyone to see these beautiful cans and enjoy a refreshing sour beer this summer.”

Something In The Water is available now in 440ml cans from sirencraftbrew.com and Siren’s own venues in Finchampstead and Reading town centre, along with independent pubs, bottle shops and cinemas across the UK.

About Siren Craft Brew:

Headquartered in Berkshire, Siren Craft Brew is a passionately independent brewery that truly believes there is a beer for everyone. Brewed and packed in Finchampstead since 2013, the multi award-winning brewery is proud of its quality, unfiltered, modern, flavour-forward beers using only the best ingredients.

The Siren Craft Brew range is firmly rooted in Greek mythology. It is said the sirens’ voices entwine into a complex, layered melody, and so do the ingredients that go into making great beer.

Starting 10 years ago as a team of three, Siren Craft Brew has blossomed into a team of over 60 people, brewing the equivalent of more than four million pints in 2023. Founded by Darron Anley, the modern brewery now exports to 25 countries worldwide, self-distributes throughout the UK and is now stocked by the likes of Sainsburys, Waitrose, Morrisons, Asda, leading chains plus independent pubs, shops, and restaurants.

Siren Craft Brew also sells direct to the consumer through its website and on-site tap room. The company has a prolific brewing schedule, on average releasing an experimental beer every week. A drinks industry trailblazer, Siren is a leader in barrel ageing and the interplay between wood and beer.
