Brewlab, the training, laboratory and consultancy provider based in Sunderland have employed Brian Yorston as their Training Manager. Brian has over 40 years’ wide experience within the brewing industry at senior levels and was latterly head brewer at Wadworth in Wiltshire and Daniel Thwaites in Blackburn.
Starting his career at Vaux – just across the River Wear from Brewlab he has also worked at Lorimer and Clarks in Edinburgh, Usher of Trowbridge and Shepherd- Neame in Kent.
Brian said “It is great to be working back in my native north east and to pass on my experiences to other brewers. I find the range of students coming to Brewlab fascinating not only are they from a huge range of counties but a wide spectrum of age and experience. The one thing I find is that they are challenging and stimulating. The courses can be quite intensive not only just for the students but myself also.”
