Wells & Co. proudly announced the reopening of The Playwright, a Nottingham pub in its managed estate, after a £500,000-plus refurbishment.
Having reopened on Thursday 11th December, the project underscores Wells & Co’s commitment to backing its pub estate despite the mounting financial and operational pressures facing the sector, heightened by the recent Autumn Budget.
The refurbishment is more than a lick of paint. As well as refreshing both exterior and interiors, it offers new interactive entertainment such as darts and shuffleboard, elevating the customer experience.
These improvements reflect Wells & Co.’s focus on creating high-quality, resilient pub operations that can thrive despite wider market pressures.
Benjamin Smith, Retail Director of Wells & Co, said: “Our investment in The Playwright recognises the importance and value of the pub experience, while also demonstrating our ongoing support for our teams, ensuring they can continue to thrive, even during challenging times for hospitality.
Pubs remain a crucial part of our communities, and The Playwright now boasts an experience that builds upon our quality food and drink offer.”
Wells & Co. now look forward to welcoming guests back to enjoy the refreshed space, enhanced entertainment and customer experience that remains key to everything they do.
