An Indulgent Festive Treat: Outland Choc-work Orange

ree

Ahead of the festive season comes a new beer from Outland - Choc-Work Orange. At 5% ABV, it combines the chocolatey smoothness and comfort of a stout with citrus zest and bittersweet bite.

Choc-Work Orange is brewed with roasted malts that create a deep cocoa base while Goldings, Challenger and Target hops add zesty notes, and added natural flavours create an orange tang. The result is a dark, velvety, indulgent drink that’s perfect for sipping on long winter evenings.

This is the perfect stocking filler for anyone who enjoys beer and chocolate. It’s also a great match to some of the festive season’s foods including honey-glazed ham or, of course, a chunk of dark chocolate.

Choc-Work Orange is available in 330ml cans costing £2.25 on the Outland web store and on draught in selected Hall & Woodhouse pubs. The Outland range of craft beers now comprises 11 styles across cans and keg, with some rotated seasonally, offering options for drinkers moving into the craft sector, such as Helles Lager and those wanting more adventurous tastes, such as the Black IPA.

Notes to editor

  • Outland was launched in April 2023 by Badger Brewery, giving the independent family brewer, based in Dorset, a presence in the craft beer sector to complement their success in the Premium Bottled Ale (PBA) category.

  • As a ‘mainstream’ craft brand, Outland offers the on-trend flavours and pack design cues seen in the sector, while being more accessible than many craft beers, giving it strong appeal to new or light craft drinkers.

  • Outland has won a number of awards for its taste and packaging:

    • Finalist: Grocer Gold Awards 2024, Drinks Brand of the Year

    • World Beer Awards 2024: Outland Ginger Pale Ale won both a Gold medal and a Country Winner award in the Flavoured Beer category, while Milk Stout and West Coast IPA won Silver and Bronze medals respectively.

    • Supreme Champion, 2023 International Beer Challenge Design & Packaging Awards, for the best range of packaged beers
