Barney's Beer Joins the Guild as an Industry Partner

A warm welcome and thank you for supporting the Guild goes to Barney's Beer, the latest to join as an industry partner.

An independent craft brewery established in 2012 by Andrew (Barney) Barnett based at Summerhall - Edinburgh’s biggest independent arts venue & studios. Currently the longest established Brewery in City of Edinburgh, on the site of a brewery first established circa 1705.

Taking our inspiration from the creativity of the space that surrounds us – and picking up where the original Summerhall Brewery of the 1700s left off – at Barney’s Beer we simply aim to make beers we are proud to share.

Using the best ingredients and a mix of traditional and modern techniques and processes, Barney’s Beer has been supplying Edinburgh’s bars, restaurants and bottleshops for over a decade.

From hop forward pale ale and IPA to barrel aged dark or wild beers, and to classic bitter; our open-minded approach means our ambitions lie in improving and building upon our own skills and reputation rather than chasing growth at any cost.

The help of our industry partners enables the Guild to support it's individual membership through events, training, mentorship and lots of other resources to aid with their professional development. In return, industry partners can enjoy plenty of benefits of being part of the Guild.
