Belgian Beer Duvel Secures New Listing Across Mitchells & Butlers' Castle Pubs

Duvel Moortgat UK has secured a major new on-trade win, with its original Belgian beer, Duvel Original, rolling out across Mitchells & Butlers’ Castle pubs nationwide from 6 May.

Available in bottled format, the 8.4% ABV golden ale adds a premium, globally recognised world beer to the range – designed to drive trade-up, elevate the offer and tap into growing demand for authentic European styles.

Brewed in Belgium over 90 days, Duvel delivers a bright golden pour with lively carbonation, fresh citrus notes, subtle spice and a clean, dry finish, making it a versatile choice for both drinking and food pairing occasions.

With Belgian beers continuing to grow in popularity among consumers seeking quality and provenance, Duvel offers operators a proven way to premiumise their range and add value.

Steve Behan, General Manager at Duvel Moortgat UK, said: “Duvel has always stood out as one of the world’s most distinctive beers, with a flavour and heritage that really resonates with drinkers in premium pub settings. We’re genuinely delighted to be partnering with Castle pubs to introduce Duvel to even more people and continue to elevate the on-trade beer experience.”

The expansion comes as demand continues to grow for authentic, premium world beers, with operators increasingly looking to quality-led brands that can enhance both the drinking and dining experience.
