Great Newsome Brewery is set to hold its popular beer, food and music ‘Festivale’ on the 19th and 20th June 2026, at Great Newsome Farm, near Hull.
Now in its 9th year, following a “Glastonbury” style break in 2025, the event welcomes up to 1000 people over the 2-day event as the Holderness countryside comes alive with local bands, food trucks and Great Newsome Brewery beer.
This year the event will be supporting the RNLI and in particular the local Withernsea RNLI station. The fantastic work local RNLI stations carry out was highlighted on the 2nd January 2026 when 3 people lost their lives having been swept into the sea at Withernsea. On the bar for the Festivale will be a special “Withernsea Lifeboat” beer, only available at this year’s event.
“It is great to have Festivale back for another year”, said Matthew Hodgson, director at Great Newsome Brewery. “To have the place come alive with people enjoying a good beer, listening to great music and having a fantastic time with family and friends is a real pleasure”, he added.
“Each year we try to support a charity and, for 2026, we felt that RNLI Withernsea was a worthy cause especially after the tragic events that happened at Withernsea earlier this year. These people put their lives on the line keeping us all safe and this is something we would like to raise awareness of.”
Festivale is a family-friendly festival at Great Newsome Brewery, Winestead. Over the last few years, it has raised over £17,000 for charity with a mix of great local music, street food vendors and a bar which serves over 12 different Great Newsome Brewery beers plus craft cider, wine and soft drinks. Festivale also has a range of large outdoor games and a sandpit to keep the young ones entertained. Limited camping pitches are also available for those wanting to stay over. Tickets are available to buy through the Great Newsome Brewery website https://www.greatnewsomebrewery.co.uk/shop/events/festivale-2024-tickets/
Notes to editors
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. This is done through lifeboat search and rescue, lifeguards, water safety education and flood rescue. Withernsea RNLI station is local to Great Newsome Brewery and operates a Henley Eight, D-class inshore lifeboat. On the 2nd January 2026 RNLI volunteers from Withernsea, Bridlington and Skegness lifeboat stations responded to a multi-agency incident involving people in difficulty in the water at Withernsea. The incident resulted in 3 people losing their lives in difficult conditions.
