Brewery to Unveil New Beer as a 'Celebration of Norfolk' at County Show

A brand new beer from Norfolk's largest independent brewery is set to be unveiled at the Royal Norfolk Show.

The new Woodforde's Pale Ale is the brewery's latest permanent addition to its range – and beer fans can try it for the first time at this year's county show, starting Wednesday June 24.

Brewed with a mix of Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic hops, the bright and refreshing 4% beer features gentle citrus and soft stone fruit flavours – making for an effortlessly drinkable pint.

Woodforde's Pale Ale, alongside a host of its award-winning beers and ciders, will be available at their bar in the Jubilee Food Court North.

Craig Bennett, Head Brewer at Woodforde's said: “We are proud to be the Platinum Sponsor of this year's Royal Norfolk Show and thought there was no better time to launch a beer which celebrates the best of our county than at one of its premier events.

“Woodforde's Pale Ale is all about taking it easy, something we're all good at here in Nelson's County where we are lucky to enjoy life at our own pace.

“It's a tribute to Norfolk's relaxed and easy going attitude. A nod to our local craft, quiet character and doing things properly.”

Woodforde's Pale Ale joins the brewery's permanent core range of ales, earning its place alongside award-winning beers like Wherry and Hazy IPA.

It is also certified both vegan friendly and gluten free.

James Ramm, Head of Sales at the brewery, added: “We've listened to what our customers want – great tasting, expertly crafted beer that Norfolk people can be proud of.

“What we've achieved with Woodforde's Pale Ale is a beer enjoyable for all drinkers, using a perfect blend of hops and malts for a smooth, clean finish from first sip till last.

“We hope it proves a big hit at the show and in pubs across the county as it finds its place among our established and popular range.”
