Chorus Fine English Sparkling Beer has landed a 2-Star Great Taste Award 2026 from the Guild of Fine Food - its third major industry accolade since launch, following Silver at the International Brewing Awards and Gold at the London Beer Competition.
Tasted blind against thousands of entries without any knowledge of branding, packaging or provenance, the Great Taste judges praised Chorus as "a remarkable taste experience that could easily replace a sparkling wine whilst retaining its own generous and rewarding, intriguing character." They noted its "excellent body and carbonation," an "initial apple orchard hit" giving way to "classic sparkling wine character," and a "rich, complex, biscuit finish" - concluding that "the flavour hits wonderfully somewhere between beer and champagne."
Harry Baynham, co-founder and head brewer at Chorus, says: "We spent years developing Chorus, and we sent our early test recipes to Great Taste along the way for blind, honest feedback. Those early versions did not win an award, and the judges’ notes helped make the beer better. To come back and be given two stars means the world to us. This one is for everyone who has raised a glass with us so far."
About the Great Taste Award
Run by the Guild of Fine Food since 1994, Great Taste is the world's largest food and drink accreditation scheme. Thousands of products are entered each year and tasted blind, with judging panels of chefs, buyers, retailers, restaurateurs and food writers assessing products purely on flavour. The black and gold Great Taste sticker is a trusted mark for shoppers seeking exceptional food and drink.
Great Taste awards three tiers of star. One star signifies "simply delicious." Two stars, awarded to only around one in ten entrants, mean "Outstanding: above and beyond delicious." Three stars, reserved for fewer than one in fifty products, denote "exquisite." Chorus has been awarded two stars.

NOTES TO EDITORS
ABOUT CHORUS BEER
Chorus is a pioneering Fine English Sparkling Beer - a genuinely new expression of what beer can be.
Imagined and brewed in the heart of the New Forest by the Baynham family, Chorus was born from a simple idea: a beer worth sharing. For the table, the toast, and life’s ups, big and small.
After years of experimentation, the family created something the brewing world hadn’t seen. Brewed with Chardonnay yeast to develop fresh orchard fruit notes and complex flavours, and blended with light malts fermented longer to create a smooth, delicate, biscuity finish, lifted by fine, persistent bubbles. Sparkling, complex, with all the character of fine wine.
Triple award-winner at the International Brewing Awards 2026, the London Beer Competition 2026 and Great Taste 2026.
Available in 750ml bottles at 12% ABV. Vegan and certified gluten-free by a UKAS-accredited laboratory.
Best enjoyed chilled, served in flutes.
