2025 cask now rolling out across Fuller’s pubs, with limited bottles launching online 9th December
London, November 2025; Dark Star Brewing Co. is pleased to announce the return of Prize Old Ale, now available in cask as part of its annual release programme, with a limited run of 500ml bottles of the 2025 vintage launching online on Tuesday 9 December.
Prize Old Ale (POA) has been brewed for over a century and continues to be one of Dark Star’s most anticipated yearly releases. Produced using a traditional solera-style method that carries character from one vintage to the next, POA delivers the distinctive depth, aged complexity, and subtle acidity that drinkers look forward to each year.
Small quantities of the 2025 cask vintage are being released across nine Fuller’s pubs between 26 November and 2 December. Each pub will tap just one cask, with highlights including a paired dinner at the Red Lion, Barnes and a special wood-aged batch at Ye Olde Mitre, Holborn.
With the original recipe dating back to 1922 when the beer was first brewed at Gales Brewery, Prize Old Ale stands as a testament to traditional brewing methods. Featuring pale malt with Fuggle and Golding hops, the result is a truly unique beer, ideal for every Winter table.
