Explore Belgian Beers, Breweries and Bars with CAMRA's New Guidebook

CAMRA has published the fully revised and updated ninth edition of its Good Beer Guide Belgium, the essential guide to one of the world’s greatest beer destinations, written by beer and travel guide writer Tim Skelton.

The guide showcases over 1,500 beers and the 400 brewers and lambic blenders who make them, plus 650 of the very best places to enjoy them. The book explores all regions of Belgium, including Brussels, Antwerp, Flanders, Brabant (Flemish and Wallonian), Luxembourg and Liège, with useful travel tips and recommendations on what to eat and where to stay.

The beer industry in Belgium has changed significantly in recent years, now boasting more than 400 breweries. The guide includes an A-Z of breweries with rankings for must-visit destinations. From blond ales and saisons to black beers and wild fermented lambics, it is the perfect guide for any visitor keen to experience Belgium’s diverse beer culture.

The ninth edition has been entirely independently researched, featuring 650 of the best venues to enjoy great beers, from cosy cafés and specialist beer bars to brewery taprooms and world-renowned festivals.

The book has two forewords: one written by Tim Webb, original creator and long-time curator of the guide, and the other by Yvan De Baets, co-founder of the famous Brasserie de la Senne in Brussels.

Tim Skelton, the author, said: "I’ve lived in Benelux for over 30 years, visited Belgium more than 100 times, and thought I knew everything about the country. But researching this new edition of CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide Belgium still led me to find undiscovered beer-y gems that I’d never previously been aware of."

The guide is sponsored by Chouffe. Steve Behan, Duvel Moortgat UK General Manager, said: "It is a pleasure for Chouffe to be the headline sponsor of the ninth edition of the CAMRA Good Beer Guide Belgium. Belgian beer is renowned for its exceptional quality, traditional craftsmanship and broad variety, and we are proud to help celebrate that through this guide."

First published in 1992, this is the ninth edition and the first new edition since 2018. Published 14 May 2026, the Good Beer Guide Belgium can be pre-ordered from CAMRA’s online bookshop now. A book launch event in partnership with Chouffe takes place 6.30pm–8.30pm on Thursday 21 May at the Ambassador’s Residence, Belgian Embassy in Belgravia.
