Fall’s Over - Exeter Brewery Welcomes Autumnal Favourite Back on Tap

There are plenty of signs that autumn has arrived leaves changing colour, evenings drawing in and the first appearance of coats that have been hiding in cupboards since spring.
At Exeter Brewery, however, they have a rather simpler measure - Fall’s Over is back on tap.
The independent Exeter brewery is bringing back one of its most anticipated seasonal beers from 14 September, marking the unofficial start of autumn for regulars who wait for its return each year.
A deep ruby ale at 5% ABV, Fall’s Over is a traditional winter warmer combining rich malt and caramel flavours with berry notes.
It is a beer for the cooler months and will remain part of Exeter Brewery’s seasonal range through autumn and winter until the end of February.
A spokesperson for Exeter Brewery said: “Forget pumpkins, for us, autumn starts when the first pint of Fall’s Over is poured.
“It is one of those beers people genuinely ask us about as summer comes to an end. There’s something about a rich ruby ale that just feels right when the evenings start getting darker and you find yourself heading back inside the pub rather than looking for the sunniest table in the garden.
“Fall’s Over has developed a really loyal following over the years, so bringing it back always feels like the start of a new season at the brewery.”
Where summer calls for lighter beers and pints in beer gardens, autumn brings richer flavours, Sunday roasts, fireside tables and the return of traditional seasonal ales.
Fall’s Over has been brewed with exactly that moment in mind. Its combination of malt, caramel and berry flavours gives the beer plenty of character without straying from its roots as a traditional British ale.
