Family-Friendly Pub Brand Hungry Horse Trials Food and Drink Delivery with Uber Eats

Hungry Horse, a family-friendly pub brand owned by pub company and brewer Greene King, is launching its first-ever home delivery trial in partnership with Uber Eats this autumn.
The trial will be rolled out into 31 Hungry Horse pubs across the country this September, giving customers local to participating venues the chance to order a range of delicious and great-value menu options straight to their door.
Five venues will be launching delivery on Uber Eats from Tuesday 22 September, while the other 26 participating pubs will start taking orders on the platform from Tuesday 29 September*. Delivery options will be available at these sites for an initial 12-week trial period.
This marks the first step into food and drink delivery for the Hungry Horse brand, which has over 150 locations across the country. The trial follows the success of fellow Greene King brand Farmhouse Inns’ established delivery and collection services for customers seeking a carvery or a freshly baked cake from the comfort of their own home.
Those opting for home delivery will be able to peruse a broad food menu ranging from lunchtime subs, burgers and chicken wings to pub classic dishes such as Fish & Chips and a Steak & Ale Pie. Children’s meals and desserts will also be available to order, ensuring there’s something for the whole family to enjoy. The drinks menu includes a range of soft drinks as well as beers, ciders, wine and alcohol-free options.
Uber Eats users can make the most of exclusive delivery deals throughout the week, including offers on burgers, family feasts and big plate specials. In-pub customers won’t miss out however, as they can continue to enjoy Hungry Horse’s much-loved daily deals which include Grill Monday, Mix It Up Tuesday, Curry Wednesday and more.
Commenting on the trial, Clair Preston-Beer, Greene King’s chief digital and commercial officer, said: “We're thrilled to be bringing Hungry Horse to Uber Eats for the first time, giving customers at home a taste of what the pub can offer. Hungry Horse is all about providing great value food and drinks for the whole family, and this trial will help us to reach new customers and drive experimentation, which we hope will result in more guests choosing us on their next visit to the pub. We're looking forward to gathering feedback over the coming months and, if successful, exploring opportunities to roll the delivery concept out further next year.”
