Following sellout 2023, 24 and 25 editions of their beer festival Gravity, fiercely-independent Edinburgh brewer Barney’s Beer return with a fourth lineup, including industry icons Sierra Nevada and Pilot Beer

Gravity Beer Festival, Edinburgh’s only ‘all-in’ craft beer event, returns to Summerhall on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of September. For the uninitiated, ‘all-in’ means all of your beer included in the price of your ticket.
With some of the most exciting UK breweries in attendance for 2026, this year’s festival aims to be the best line-up yet, with Pilot Beer and Barneys’ Beer on tap, as well as an even bigger international presence than ever before. Legendary American craft brewer Sierra Madre and Austrians Stiegl will also travel all the way to Scotland’s capital for the weekend.
With beers of all styles and flavours available, Gravity Beer Festival will present the opportunity for communities far and wide to truly enjoy everything that the UK brewing scene has to offer.
Established in 2012 by Andrew ‘Barney’ Barnett, Barney’s Beer is based at Summerhall - one of Edinburgh’s central independent arts spaces. They are currently the longest established brewery in the city, taking their inspiration from the landscape around them, and picking up where the original Summerhall Brewery est. 1700s left off.
A festival organised by a brewery with brewers in mind, Barney’s Beer has created Gravity Beer Festival as an exciting platform and diverse event to showcase breweries from across the UK and beyond..
Highlights of this year’s festival will include:
- 16 Breweries and 1 Cidery pouring across the weekend
- 60+ beers and ciders on offer
- All beer included in the price of your ticket.
- Free Tutored Talks and Tastings in each session
- A branded glass included in the price of your ticket
- A No-and-Low Bar including a range of no and low alcohol beers
- Street Food vendors available in the Summerhall courtyard
Gravity Beer Festival returns Friday 25th & Saturday 26th September 2026, with a total of four sessions available to attendees: Fri 25 Sep 1:00pm ‐ 5:00pm; Fri 25 Sep 6:00pm ‐ 10:00pm; Sat 26 Sep 12:30pm ‐ 4:30pm; Sat 26 Sep 6:00pm ‐ 10:00pm.
The festival will be held in The Dissection Room at Summerhall Arts & Culture Centre. Summerhall is a venue for diverse programmes of visual and performing arts, and is home to a varied community of creative artists and businesses, including a restaurant/bar, café, brewery and distillery. The space has fast become a key arts organisation in Edinburgh, both at festival time and throughout the year.
Each ticket is priced at £38.75 and includes access to all 60 pouring beers and ciders, as well as a branded Gravity Beer Festival glass.

WHO ARE BARNEY’S BEER?
Hosts Barney’s Beer are an Independent Craft Brewery established in 2012 by Andrew ‘Barney’ Barnett, based at Summerhall. They are currently the longest established Brewery in the city of Edinburgh.
Taking their inspiration from the creativity of the city that surrounds them – and picking up where the original Summerhall Brewery est. 1700s left off – Barney’s Beer simply aim to make beers they are proud to share.
Using only the best ingredients and a mix of traditional and modern techniques and processes, Barney’s Beer has been supplying Edinburgh’s bars, restaurants and bottleshops for over a decade.
From hop forward pale ale and IPA to clean sours, red ales and classic bitter; their open-minded approach means their ambitions lie only in improving and building upon their own skills and craft as opposed to growth at any cost.

(Beers are poured in 100ml measures during all sessions. Attendees can try anything and everything on offer)
WHICH BREWERIES ARE ATTENDING?
This fourth edition sees some notable highlights, including legendary American brewer Sierra Nevada, as well as renowned Edinburgh locals Pilot Beer. Manchester-based craft beer royalty Cloudwater will pour at this year’s festival, as well as Austrian powerhouse Stiegl, who have been brewing continuously from Salzburg since 1492.
