Greek Beer Awards 2027 Open Entries Across Europe and the Mediterranean

Ten years of the competition, new beer categories and a Reserve option — Early Bird until 31 December 2026
Entries are now open for the Greek Beer Awards 2027, welcoming breweries from all European countries –including Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom– alongside Mediterranean countries in Africa and Asia. Organized in Greece by BeerBartender since 2017, the competition marks ten years since its launch with its widest geographical reach to date.
Breweries can enter their beers for blind tasting by an international judging panel and receive feedback, whether or not their entries earn an award. The competition is officially endorsed by the European Beer Consumers Union (EBCU).
The international range of winners was evident in 2026, with distinctions awarded to Browar Trzech Kumpli from Poland, Mister B Brewery from Italy and Hop Thirsty Friends from Cyprus, alongside Greek producers. Crispy Pils by Strange Brew Athens received the Top Lager distinction, while Soul of the Party by Midnight Circus Gypsy Brewing was named Top Ale.
For 2027, Markus Raupach takes on the role of Technical Director. The edition also introduces new and revised beer categories, including Fruited Berliner Weisse & Gose and Cream Ale for the first time.
Breweries that have already selected their beers can enter through Register. The new Reserve option allows those still planning their selection to pay for entries now, secure the applicable price and discounts, and submit their beer details later. Both options can be combined in the same order.
A 10% Early-Bird discount is available until 31 December 2026. Volume discounts of 10% for 6–9 entries and 15% for 10 or more entries apply throughout the registration period.
Registration and the submission of all reserved beer details close on 12 February 2027. Samples must arrive at the designated warehouse by 26 February 2027. Reserve does not extend either deadline.
Full entry information, eligibility, categories and shipping instructions are available on the competition website. Updates are also shared through the official WhatsApp Channel and Newsletter.

About the Greek Beer Awards: The Greek Beer Awards is the only international beer competition after blind tasting in Greece. It was organized for the first time in 2017, by BeerBartender and since 2022 it has expanded to countries in Southeast and East Europe and the Mediterranean. Breweries, microbreweries, and nomadic breweries participate in the competition, which send their samples to be tested by experienced and renowned judges, who are specially invited for this purpose to our country. With the motto: "We support good brews since 2017", the annual Greek Beer Awards aims, among other things, to connect Greek beers with international markets and unite beer communities across participating countries through the hashtag #UnitingBeerCommunities.
