Guild Member Invite: The Clement Attlee Public House - Opening Tonight, 19th June

We are opening our new pub tomorrow in Limehouse; The Clement Attlee.
The UK has lacked a pub named in his honour since the pub in Fulham was demolished some years ago. Limehouse is obviously the ideal location, as he was the MP for twenty eight years and it was his earlier work in the East End that is said to have formed his views that his post war government implemented.
We will be joined around 6pm by members of the Attlee Family including his grandson, John Richard Attlee, 3rd Earl Attless, Viscount Prestwood.
It has been quite a long time coming to fruition, and we have done extensive works, most obviously on the exterior which is a very careful restoration of the pub's former historic appearance, albeit with the new name honouring one of the most significant British figures of the twentieth century.
