Guild Member Offer: 15% off upcoming Beer Sommelier Courses

Members of the British Guild of Beer Writers are being offered a 15% discount on the Guild of Beer Sommeliers’ upcoming London courses this September.
On Thursday 17th September, the Beer and Food Pairing Course will explore how food and beer flavours interact and introduce the recognised principles of successful pairing. Participants will also learn how to create beer and food matching menus and plan well-run events.
Attendees will take part in a guided practical tasting of 10 beer styles, each paired with appropriate foods. Expert tuition, beer samples, lunch and a supporting workbook are all included in the price.
A limited number of discounted places are available to members of the British Guild of Beer Writers. Full price is normally £195.00, BGBW offer £165.00 per person.
On Friday 18th September, Master Brewer Alex Barlow will lead the Understanding Off Flavours and How to Judge Beer Course. Attendees will sample ten of the most common beer faults, learning how to identify them, understand their causes and preventative solutions. Participants will then put different judging methods into practice by assessing four rounds of beer.
Beer samples, lunch and a supporting workbook are all included in the price.
Discounted places are available to British Guild of Beer Writers members. Full price is normally £275.00, BGBW offer £235.00 per person.
Both courses run from 10:00 to 16:00 and are held at Brewhouse and Kitchen Highbury, five minutes’ walk from Highbury and Islington Underground station. Attendees will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Guild of Beer Sommeliers on completion of the courses.
