I thought I'd let you know what is coming up in the NCTJ's programme of live masterclasses and lunch-and-learn training sessions. As ever they are fully interactive and offer great opportunities to upskill and try new things.

This is what we have this summer:

Editing skills masterclass series - choose one day or the whole series - 18-22 August (this may run on September 15-19 too so please let me know if September would be preferable for you).

Principles of journalism masterclass - refining skills to create impactful copy - 4th September

Media law masterclass - 25th September

Please keep an eye on the schedule for future dates and if there are any topics that you would like to see, please let me know.

There is the option to learn in your own time too with NCTJ e-learning courses. Examples include essentials of media law, investigative journalism and SEO and maximising audience reach.

I also wanted to let you know about the NCTJ’s Leadership and Management distance learning qualification for journalists. Comprising of seven modules which include leading the team, communication and wellbeing this course can be bought as stand alone modules or a whole qualification. It is a great way to develop your team and enable them to excel in a leadership position. Do let me know if you'd like further information.

Finally, our bespoke options remain popular, especially if you have a group of people all in need of the same area of training and you think you would benefit from the opportunity to tailor it more to your needs. If this is something you'd like to discuss or you have an idea then do get in touch.
