This Halloween sees the return of Haunted Highlander (3.4% ABV) – a ruby rye ale from Belhaven Brewery, Scotland’s oldest brewery.

Available throughout October, Haunted Highlander is a full-bodied ale brewed with the finest rye, delivering a rich flavour, making it perfect for autumn nights. Haunted Highlander celebrates Belhaven’s proud brewing heritage, which spans more than 300 years, and is inspired by Scotland’s supernatural folklore and the atmospheric Highlands.

Haunted Highlander has been released as part of Greene King’s 2026 Fresh Cask Releases calendar.

Fiona Matheson, Marketing Manager for Belhaven, said: “We’re delighted to bring back Haunted Highlander this Halloween following its successful launch in our pubs and beyond last year. As Halloween becomes more and more popular, it’s great to be able to offer our customers a spooky seasonal that’s perfect for a cosy evening in the pub, with a nod to Belhaven’s Scottish heritage.”

Haunted Highlander will be available in firkins and pins (36 pint units), along with all other seasonal cask beers, providing pubs with greater flexibility on throughput. To order Haunted Highlander, or any other Fresh Cask Release seasonals, visit: www.valueforvenues.co.uk.
