Aldershot, UK. [20/10/25] — Alf Turner, the award-winning brand backed by Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Peter Jones, is proud to announce that Hero IPA will be available within Stonegate’s estate this autumn, with launches in Publican Partnerships pubs from the end of October and in 174 Craft Union pubs from 5th November.
The timing has been chosen to coincide with Remembrance Day (11th November), giving customers the chance to raise a glass in honour of the UK’s armed forces community. A portion of proceeds from every pint sold will go to Help for Heroes, the national charity supporting wounded, injured and sick veterans and their families.
To date, Alf Turner has already raised over £305,000 for Help for Heroes. This new Stonegate partnership is expected to raise a further £2,000–£3,000 for the charity.
Hero IPA is brewed exclusively for Alf Turner by Surrey-based Hogs Back Brewery, combining quality brewing expertise with a cause that resonates strongly at the heart of British communities.
Paul Turner, Founder of Alf Turner, said:
“We’re delighted that Stonegate is bringing Hero IPA into its pubs, particularly at this poignant time of year. The beer was created to celebrate and support our armed forces, and with Remembrance Day approaching, we hope pub-goers across the country will join us in raising both a glass and vital funds for Help for Heroes.”
Nick Marks, Group Commercial Director of Stonegate, said:
“We’re proud to offer Hero IPA in our Craft Union and Publican Partnerships pubs. Pubs are central to community life, and this campaign gives our customers the chance to come together, enjoy a great beer, and support a charity that makes a real difference to veterans and their families.”
Miles Chesterman, Managing Director of Hogs Back Brewery, said:
“We’re proud to brew Hero IPA for Alf Turner. It’s a beer with real character, crafted with care here in Surrey, and brewed for a purpose that goes far beyond the glass. Knowing that each pint poured in Stonegate pubs will help support our veterans makes this partnership especially meaningful for us.”
Why This Matters
Help for Heroes provides vital physical, mental, and welfare support to the UK Armed Forces community. By partnering with Stonegate, Alf Turner is ensuring Hero IPA reaches more communities nationwide, creating a meaningful way for people to mark Remembrance while giving back.
