Milled Specialty Roasted Malts Now Available from French & Jupps

French & Jupps, Great Britain's oldest maltster, is proud to announce an enhancement to their offering of 14 time-honoured roasted malts, used by regional brewers for generations, are now available milled for the first time.

For centuries, French & Jupps have been supplying the British brewing industry with their selection of roasted malts, ranging from the lightest crystal malt varieties, which includes their unique Cara Gold (8-14 °EBC), to their intensely dark Extra Dark Crystal '400'. Beyond crystal malts, French & Jupps' portfolio also includes heavily roasted and kilned malts such as Amber Malt, Brown Malt, three distinct varieties of Chocolate Malts, Black Malt, and Roasted Barley.

"This is a really exciting step for us," says James Marinos, Marketing Manager at French & Jupps. "Since 1810, we've been producing the finest handcrafted roasted malts. Now, by offering them milled, we're providing brewers — especially smaller and independent operations — unprecedented ease in accessing our heritage products directly from source."

All French & Jupps handcrafted malts are freshly roasted to order and milled in small batches. This bespoke approach, coupled with significantly reduced minimum order quantities, offers unprecedented flexibility, addressing a long-standing need within the independent brewing sector allowing brewers to order as little as one pallet layer, equivalent to five 25kg malt bags of mixed varieties, tailored to their specific requirements.

By facilitating the provision of freshly milled specialty malts, this move underscores French & Jupps commitment to supporting brewers of all sizes in securing the products required to craft the finest British beers and ensuring high-quality ingredients are more widely accessible across the industry.
