Norfolk brewery to gift pubs Christmas trees this festive season

A multi-award-winning brewery is looking to spread the festive cheer this year by rewarding its valued pub customers with a free Christmas tree.

Woodforde’s is offering its on-trade customers the chance to win a free locally-grown tree in return for their orders in the run-up to yuletide.

The trees have been purchased through a new partnership with Norfolk Christmas Trees, a member of the British Christmas Tree Growers Association (BCTGA) based at Great Melton Farms near Norwich.

Chris Fuller, Head of Marketing at Woodforde’s, said: “We all know there are few greater pleasures than enjoying a pint in a cosy pub at Christmas time with loved ones.

“But for publicans, getting the venue spruced up and ready for the festive season is another task on a very long to-do list.

“That’s why we want to take that worry away from them. If they choose Woodforde’s this Christmas, they’ll be in with the chance of winning a beautiful locally-grown tree, delivered free of charge.

“It’s our way of saying thank you for their custom and to wish them a very Merry Christmas.”

Woodforde’s is bringing back its festive favourite beers in the run-up to the big day, including both the Tinsel Toes 4.4% ruby ale and the Winter Reserve 5% dark ale.

On top of that, the brewery is also releasing its popular Albion cream stout on cask, alongside its readily available keg alternative.

For those who abstain from drinking, the brewery also offers its Woodforde’s 0.5 low alcohol beer, an easy-drinking pale ale which recently won a Great Taste Award.
