Peter Coulson 6 August 1943 to 27 March 2026
Peter, a founder member of the British Guild of Beer Writers, died peacefully at home in Gloucestershire after a short illness. A specialist licensing lawyer, journalist and publisher, some of you may remember him for his long running advice column in the Morning Advertiser or from Licensing Review, the journal he founded and edited for several years. For those who knew him personally, I hope he will be remembered as one of the good guys: a loyal friend with a sharp wit, a memorable turn of phrase, a wicked sense of humour, an infectious laugh and a positive sense of vitality and joie de vivre that stayed with him to the end.
Catherine Mason (Mrs Coulson)
