Macclesfield, 29th July 2025 – RedWillow Brewery has continued its remarkable Great Taste Awards success story with two more wins at the 2025 competition, bringing their total to six Great Taste Award-winning beers. Their Vietnamese coffee-inspired Breakfast Stout earned 3 stars, and Wreckless took 1 star, adding to their impressive 2024 haul, which saw Perceptionless, Divisionless, Shameless, and Weightless all receive awards.
The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, are widely regarded as the most respected food and drink awards in the UK. This year's competition saw thousands of products blind-tasted by over 500 expert judges, including food critics, chefs, cooks, restaurateurs and producers.
Breakfast Stout (5.6%) earned the coveted 3-star rating, placing it among the exceptional products that represent the very best in taste and quality. This Vietnamese coffee stout impressed judges with its complex balance - an assertive roasty bitterness from dark malts that quickly gives way to a smooth, rich dark chocolate and hazelnut finish.
Wreckless (4.8%), RedWillow's American Pale Ale, earned 1 star for its expertly crafted profile. Brewed with Maris Otter malt and a touch of Caramalt, then generously hopped with Amarillo, Citra & Simcoe, the beer delivers "aromas of mango, grapefruit & papaya with a clean bitter finish."
The win continues RedWillow's exceptional year, which has already seen them collect a CAMRA Award for their Best Bitter, Feckless, multiple SIBA awards during their 15th anniversary celebrations, alongside successful collaborations with breweries including The Kernel, DEYA, and Lost and Grounded.
"We're absolutely delighted with these latest Great Taste Awards – to now have six of our beers recognised is incredible," said Toby McKenzie, founder and lead brewer at RedWillow. "Breakfast Stout has been a labour of love, working to get that Vietnamese coffee character just right, so to see it earn 3 stars is incredible. And having Wreckless join our other award-winners shows the breadth and quality across our range. After Perceptionless, Divisionless, Shameless, and Weightless all winning in 2024, these awards are a testament to the consistency and passion of our whole brewing team."
Both award-winning beers are available now through RedWillow's online shop, at their bars in Macclesfield and Buxton, and wherever excellent beer is sold.
