SWEET like candy is the order of the day for Scots brewers, Vault City, whose newest beer offering to their Sweet Shop range is hitting shelves next month.

Raspberry Blueberry Bumblegum Bottles (£4.50), Fizzy Rainbow Belts (£6.80) and Giant Rhubarb and Custard (£8.10) beers have been brewing away at Vault City HQ in Edinburgh ahead of the exciting new launch.

Packed with nostalgic, delectable flavours such as zingy sherbet, fruit juices and creamy vanilla the latest cans are sure to hit the spot for all those with a sweet tooth and penchant for old-school treats.

Alongside sweet-sour aromas and fruity notes, Raspberry Blueberry Bubblegum Bottles also pack a punch with unmistakable bubblegum and zingy sherbet. This modern sour beer pours electric blue, just like your tongue after drinking it.

Childhood sweet shop memories come flooding back with just one sip of Fizzy Rainbow Belts; a sour beer that’s sweet and tangy. Bursting with juicy orange and strawberries, and balanced by a belt of sharp lemon, chief brewers have dubbed this offering, ‘pure pick ’n’ mix nostalgia’.

Rhubarb & Custard sour is a classic Vault City recipe amped up to 8.4%, bringing tangy and nostalgic rhubarb flavours together with rich, creamy vanilla custard, just like the good old days.

It comes after a run of sweet success for the Scottish beer-makers who are no strangers to bold, unexpected flavour combinations that always go down a treat.

One of TikTok‘s most viral sweets, Dubai Chocolate caught the eye of Vault City chiefs in 2025 and soon after, their sour beer nod to the decadent bar was born. The brew boasts hints of silky milk chocolate, rich pistachio cream and golden-syrup soaked knafeh pastry.

Christmas saw a Last Christmas beer inspired by two of the 80s’ most loved creations: WHAM Bars and Wham! Hit the shelves. A whopping 500 Wham bars were boiled down and infused into the special festive tipple.

And after an amazing social media campaign for its return.Buckfast Beer was brought back to supermarket shelves by Vault City in January. The drink was originally inspired by the Buckie Bomb cocktail, which is made by mixing Buckfast Tonic Wine with Irn-Bru, creating tangy Buckie vibes with juicy blackberries, subtle caffeine notes and layers of sweet, dark stewed fruits, citrus and bubble-gum.
