Shepherd Neame Taps into Fruit Flavour for New Limited Edition Beer Fresh Drop

ree

Independent family brewer Shepherd Neame’s latest limited edition brew, Fresh Drop, packs a punch as it is the first in its 300-year history to be crafted with fruit.

Tapping into the growing demand for fruit-flavoured beers, Fresh Drop (3.4%) is a crisp lager cut with apricot and raspberry.

It is the latest innovation from Shepherd Neame’s Small Batch Brewery, a 15 barrel kit offering the opportunity to experiment with styles, ingredients, and techniques.

Director of Brewing Mike Unsworth said: “After the success of First Drop - the refreshing Session IPA which joined our permanent range in February – we wanted to build on the momentum and create a similarly vibrant beer which was fruit-infused but also lower in alcohol.

“Apricots and raspberries, both grown locally here in the Garden of England, were a natural choice. They bring a juicy depth and aroma that makes Fresh Drop a truly standout and refreshing beer.

“Following in the footsteps of our other new releases this year such as Iron Wharf stout and Creekside Juicy IPA, Fresh Drop reflects our deep connection to its Kentish roots - pairing provenance with pioneering flavour.

“It really is a fresh new approach for our brewing and we are excited for people to try it!”

Fresh Drop (3.4%) is now available in selected Shepherd Neame sites for a limited time.
