The Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase marks 10-year milestone at the House of Commons

The Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase celebrates its 10th anniversary Wednesday 11 February, bringing the industry’s emerging talent to the heart of Westminster during National Apprenticeship Week.

Taking place from 12.30–16.40 at the Terrace Pavilion, House of Commons, the Showcase has become a flagship annual event, welcoming around 120 hospitality apprentices each year and highlighting the breadth, quality and impact of apprenticeships across the sector.

Over the past decade, the event has mirrored the transformation of apprenticeships, from being viewed as a second-rate option to becoming a highly regarded and aspirational pathway into skilled, long-term careers for people of all ages.

Each year, the Showcase has been recognised and supported by Government Ministers and constituency MPs, providing apprentices with a unique opportunity to connect directly with their local representatives.

Apprentices attending represent the full diversity of hospitality roles, including front-of-house teams, bartenders, kitchen teams, brewing apprentices, and the myriad of roles found within support and operational functions, including in finance, HR and marketing. Throughout the afternoon, apprentices will showcase their skills, from pulling the perfect pint and crafting cocktails, to creating interactive competitions and quizzes designed to engage MPs and guests.

This year’s Showcase is supported by a strong line-up of leading hospitality businesses and organisations, including:

Nando’s; Stonegate Group; Fuller, Smith & Turner; Budweiser Brewing Group ; Butcombe Group; Mitchells & Butlers; Wadworth & Co; Star Pubs & Bars; Molson Coors; Perfect Country Pub Company; Compass Catering; Shepherd Neame; Brewhouse & Kitchen; British Beer and Pub Association; and UK Hospitality.

Alongside apprentices and employer representatives, the event also welcomes hospitality operators, trade and education media, college representatives and trade association leaders, reinforcing its status as a key date in the industry calendar.

As the Hospitality Apprenticeship Showcase enters its second decade, it continues to champion apprenticeships as a powerful driver of skills, opportunity and social mobility,  while giving apprentices a national platform to demonstrate the talent shaping the future of hospitality.
