Theme for IWCBD 2026 Announced

ree

The International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD) campaign is back for 2026 in partnership with the Society of Independent Brewers and Associates (SIBA), run by Women On Tap CIC.

This year, past IWCBD participants, the Women On Tap Changemakers and the Women On Tap Advisory Board helped to choose the theme, which has now been confirmed as UNITE BELONGING.

2026 also marks the launch of a new IWCBD campaign poster. Printed copies will be sold as a fundraiser to help fund the campaign. This will become a changing, collectible annual release.

UNITE BELONGING is a global call to create a kinder, more inclusive world through the power of our beer communities. The brew days will celebrate the power of belonging, because no one should feel like an outsider in beer, in our communities, or in the world. It’s time to UNITE.

Women On Tap invites breweries across the globe to rally the troops, get creative, and let everyone in their local communities know they are welcome, be it through the brew day main event, launch, artwork, fundraising, or the beer recipe itself.

Women On Tap CIC founder, Rachel Auty said:

“The need to open our doors and our hearts and cultivate a safe and welcoming space for all has never been more urgent. No one should feel like an outsider in beer, in our communities, or in the world. This year, we want the IWCBD campaign to reach out to those feeling disconnected, lost or isolated and let them know ‘You belong and are welcome here.’ We can’t wait to see what the amazing people in this industry come up with!”

NOTES TO EDITOR:

About IWCBD

Founded in 2013 by Sophie de Ronde, Head Brewer at Burnt Mill Brewery, Suffolk, UK, International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day is a worldwide annual event that takes place on and around March 8th every year in conjunction with International Women’s Day.

Brewery teams and home brewers come together with their communities and local groups to celebrate women in the beer industry, and to create and release collaboration beers, raising funds for women’s causes.

The brew days generally take place on the 8th March, but some happen at other times around this date.

For ten years (2014-2023) IWCBD provided a central theme and platform to bring together all the IWD brew day projects onto one map, under one brand, and into one marketing campaign.

In 2024, the campaign was taken on by Women On Tap CIC.
