  • Vault City’s latest limited-edition sour beer lands just in time for Halloween

  • Tangy Fangs (4.6% ABV) bursts with blood-red jammy sweetness from Scottish strawberries and a sharp, tangy finish

  • Available now from vaultcity.co.uk and independent retailers, priced at £4.95 for a 440ml can

A POPULAR Halloween treat is being reimagined for grown-ups this year, as Edinburgh’s wizards of sour beer unveil their latest spooky special. Tangy Fangs is a blood-red strawberry sour with a fruity sweetness and a sharp bite that lingers long after the first sip.

Vault City founder Steven Smith-Hay says: “Halloween is one of our favourite times of the year because it gives us a chance to have a bit of fun with flavour.

“Tangy Fangs is bright and jammy, and full of that bite that makes our sours stand out.

“Our Halloween releases have almost become a tradition now. Toffee Apple and Toxic Waste were massive hits and people still ask when they’re coming back. We love that these seasonal brews have a cult following.

“They’re beers that don’t take themselves too seriously, they’re meant to be fun and full of flavour. Tangy Fangs is all that and more, just with a bit more bite.”

Known for pushing boundaries and brewing beers inspired by nostalgic flavours, Vault City have created sours that taste like Wagon Wheels, Neapolitan ice cream and grape soda. Since launching in 2018, the Edinburgh brewery has become one of the most talked-about names in UK craft beer, producing over a million litres of sour beer every year from its Portobello home.

Vegan-friendly and bursting with berry bite, Tangy Fangs (4.6% ABV) is available now for £4.95 at vaultcity.co.uk and through selected independent retailers.
