Women in Beer® has announced the shortlist for their very first awards, celebrating the women who shape the beer industry.
More than 280 nominations were entered in 9 separate categories for a chance to win an award, with the 10th category’s winner selected by the judging panel only.
All entries were judged by the Women in Beer® independent panel, comprised of Lorraine Copes, (Founder and CEO of Be Inclusive Hospitality), Jonny Garrett (Co-founder of Craft Beer Channel and Chair of the British Guild of Beer Writers), Daisy Turnell (Co-owner at Tipple Marketing), Andy Parker (Founder at Elusive), Helena Adedipe (Owner and Co-founder of Eko Brewery), and Anthony Adedipe (Owner and Co-founder of Eko Brewery).
Discussing the awards, Amelie Tassin founder of Women in Beer® said,
‘I was not expecting to see so many nominations for our first awards, but it confirmed there’s a need to celebrate the women who work and shape the beer industry. It’s been a real joy to get to know so many talented women through the nominations, and I am in awe of the judges who had a very tough job selecting the shortlisted and the winners.”
